While COVID-19 continues to take the lives of many people around the world, the elderly community is being hit the hardest by the deadly illness. People over the age of 65 have a harder time recovering from Coronavirus due to underlying health issues and weakened immune systems.

So, Miss Diddy and Mayor Aja L. Brown have teamed up with the Henry Mask Company to donate over 250 masks to the senior citizens in Compton.

“I lost all of my grandparents at a pretty early age in my life and it made me extremely sensitive towards the elderly,” Miss Diddy said. “I always wish I had my grandparents growing up as an adult. There was no way I could know this is happening in the world and not try my best to take care of the senior citizens to the best of my ability.”

“Our seniors are the foundation of our community and we are thankful to partner with native Miss Diddy and Henry Mask Company to provide masks for our seniors, as we continue our efforts to ensure our loved ones are cared for and protected,” Mayor Brown stated.

Miss Diddy recently opened up to REVOLT about her close relationship with Mayor Brown.

“What I admire most is that she’s strong and focused,” she said. “She has a strong posture. She means what she says, she says what she means. You can see the intensity in her eyes and in her face. It’s something to cheer for, not even her being a woman, but just being a person with her type of strength.”

She continued, “Nowadays, people are so fickle and indecisive. There’s something about a person who can make decisive decisions and stand on them. She’s the first mayor I’ve seen in Compton that has a real heart for the people, the community and the future of the city.”
