Given all of the business moves and social media antics that we’ve seen from 50 Cent, you’d almost forget just how legendary he is from a music standpoint. He has delivered some notable singles over the past few years, including “No Romeo No Juliet” featuring Chris Brown, “Still Think I’m Nothing” featuring Jeremih, “Crazy” featuring PnB Rock, and — as part of his widely popular crime drama series Power — a remix of “Big Rich Town” alongside Trey Songz and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. With that said, his latest studio album was 2014’s Animal Ambition, which boasted 11 tracks and appearances from Yo Gotti, Trey Songz, Jadakiss, Prodigy, Styles P, and more. A year later, he dropped off his seven-track Kanan Tape, named after 50’s Power character. This week, he’s decided to reach back to said mixtape to deliver an unreleased visual for “Tryna F*** Me Over,” which features a still-braided Post Malone.
He revealed the clip via social media, along with the usual bravado we’ve come to expect from the G-Unit head honcho:
yo I forgot to put this out 30 Million records sold you know i’m nice n***a. I do it when i feel like it LOL
The video itself shows the collaborators having a conversation in a car before being harassed by law enforcement. Footage of the two performing with champagne and jewelry in a separate area can also be seen, with 50 talking his usual talk over production from Scoop DeVille:
“N***as around me, yeah, they hit licks, mix a little red and yellow when they get lit/
Tryna turn up with a bad b***h, have her in the telly doing freak s***/
N***as sell a little bit of everything, rockin’ Yacht-Master and the pinky ring/
Flexing like “b***h, if you knew better,” you f*** with a real n***a and you do better/
