DaBaby is ready to give his fans new music. The “Suge” rapper announced on Instagram that his newest project Blame It On Baby will drop this Friday, April 17.

In the cover art for the project, the Charlotte-bred rapper is dressed in a BAPE camouflage vest, matching durag and also sporting a face mask, hinting at the current climate under COVID-19. Details surrounding the project are scarce and it’s unclear whether this will be a full length album or a mixtape.

A few weeks ago, he released a short film to his new single “Find My Way” which featured a cameo by B. Simone. In the film, B. Simone and DaBaby reenacted a Bonnie and Clyde storyline to purchase medication for DaBaby’s ill grandmother.

This year, DaBaby has been featured on numerous hit songs. He teamed up with Lil Yachty and Drake on “Oprah’s Bank Account.” The song even got recognition from Oprah Winfrey herself. He also hopped on the remix to Drake and Future’s hit single, “Life Is Good,” alongside Lil Baby.

It’s been almost seven months since he released his last LP, Kirk. The album featured the smash songs “BOP,” “Vibez” and “iPhone” and featured appearances from Nicki Minaj, Migos, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, Kevin Gates, Gucci Mane, Chance The Rapper and more. The album went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning Baby his first No. 1 album.

DaBaby was set to take this summer over with his scheduled performances. He was scheduled to appear at the Days of Summer Cruise Fest, Coachella, Rolling Loud Miami, Beale Street Music Festival, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and the Roots Picnic. Due to Coronavirus, many of those events have been canceled or postponed.
