DaBaby has spent his self-quarantine cooking up some new music in the studio. It appears the “Off The Rip” rapper is coming through with a new release later this week, according to his latest Instagram and Twitter posts.

“THIS FRIDAY,” he shared via social media on Monday (April 13).

The nature of the upcoming release is currently unclear, although DaBaby’s inclusion of the CD disc emoji heavily nods toward a potential mixtape.

DaBaby has stayed busy this year since releasing his breakout 2019 projects, KIRK and Baby On Baby. Most recently, he dropped off a cinematic Reel Goats-directed clip for “Find My Way,” co-starring YouTube personality B. Simone. The short film found the two celebs acting out a Bonnie & Clyde-nodding storyline as they travel on a statewide heist in order to purchase medication for DaBaby’s ailing grandmother.

Prior to “Find My Way,” DaBaby teamed up with Lil Yachty and Drake on “Oprah’s Bank Account.” The single also arrived with an elaborate music video, which saw DaBaby being interviewed by Boprah — Yachty’s interpretation of the media mogul.

DaBaby again linked up with Drake earlier this year when he hopped on a remix of the 6 God and Future’s “Life Is Good,” which also featured Lil Baby.

The Charlotte-bred rapper hasn’t released a full-length project since his highly successful KIRK and Baby On Baby LPs last year. His label debut, Baby On Baby, saw appearances from Rich the Kid, Stunna 4 Vegas, Rich Homie Quan and Offset and was driven by his hit, “Suge.”

KIRK, on the other hand, featured Migos, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, Stunna 4 Vegas, YK Osiris, Nicki Minaj, Chance the Rapper, Gucci Mane and Kevin Gates. The 13-track record reached acclaim with “Toes,” “Pop Star,” “Bop,” “Off the Rip” and “Intro.”

Besides his musical releases, DaBaby was also slated to perform at a variety of festivals this year. Before the pandemic, he was scheduled to appear at Rolling Loud Miami, Beale Street Music Festival, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Days of Summer Cruise Fest, Coachella and the Roots Picnic.

Be on the lookout for some new music from DaBaby this Friday (April 17).
