The prolific Robb Bank$ dropped FALCONIA ACT 1: CONVICTION on Friday (April 10). The project is the first of the final three arcs in the rapper’s farewell album series. According to Bank$, he is retiring once the third installment drops and will transition from an artist into a full-time executive.

The elusive Broward County rapper has a legion of fans that dive deep into his rap niche of obscure pop culture and banging trap. His anime-referencing rhyme style will not be let down this time around. The album is 11 tracks long and includes features from Lil Uzi Vert on the song “ShootOut,” Doe Boy on “Boy Toy,” and Cris Dinero on “Aftertime.”

The Japanese influence is strong in hip hop and Bank$ has connected with millennials’ love of Pokémon, Inuyasha, and Takashi Murakami through 808s and rap bars.

The 25-year-old raper has been active since he was a teenager and has grown into an industry tastemaker in his own right. He has toured with with numerous up-and-coning artists including DaBaby.

In an interview with Vibe, Bank$ said, “I see talent, and I’m like, ‘I just want to help you.’ I don’t know why, but that’s just how I’ve always been. I just want to help. If I got a platform, I’ma help you.” His goal is to run his 430 Ent label and create content in addition to and beyond music once he completes the series.

A protégé of Birdman and the son of Jamaican reggae artist Shaggy, he came up in a wave of Soundcloud rappers including XXXtentacion and Wifisfunural, and has continued to cultivate an engaged fanbase as his sound has matured.

The prequel, Road to Falconia, dropped last year and the buzz around the multi-part project has been strong. With two more albums to go, we’re sure to get more music in the remaining acts.
