The battle is set to go down this Sunday, Apr. 5 at 6 pm EST. Fans on social media are already discussing how legendary this battle will be.
One fan tweeted, “So we got Lil Jon vs Tpain on Saturday. Then we got Babyface/LA Reid vs Teddy Riley on Sunday?? The late 20s-40+ crowd are going to be LIVING this weekend. These IG battles really like the club now. We gonna be in our living rooms like [Snoop Dogg dancing gif].
Another excited fan tweeted, “Please be aware that I will be insufferable during this Babyface & LA Reid vs. Teddy Riley battle. I worship the ground these men walk on and their catalogs are the holy texts I have studied for 30 years. Lets. Fucking. Go.”
A third fan tweeted, “This Teddy vs. Babyface battle is gonna come down to the age old argument of hits vs. JAMS. Hits are empirical, but jams are spiritual.”
Babyface vs Teddy Riley is set to take place just one day after Lil Jon vs T-Pain. T-Pain was originally supposed to battle Scott Storch but he was replaced with Mannie Fresh after Swizz and Timbaland looked at comments and decided that producer vs songwriter didn’t make sense. Lil Jon and T-Pain will also play 20 songs each in their battle.
