Casanova continues to deliver new visuals from last year’s Behind These Scars. His latest is for the Azar and Mektro-produced cut “In My Hood,” which — as the name suggests — sees the Brooklyn rhymer keeping things very real about where he comes from:

I got the beam cheap and the nine ain’t far, ‘cause they’ll kill you in my hood if you drive these cars/
Nigga I could get you coke, I could get you dope, I could get you pills, shit I could get you killed/

“In My Hood” follows a slew of dope visuals from the aforementioned project, including “Jail Call,” the Young Thug and Gunna-assisted “So Drippy,” the Jeremih-assisted “Woah,” and “So Brooklyn,” his runaway hit with Fabolous. Prior to Behind These Scars, Casanova fed the streets with Commissary and Free At Last — his collaborative EP with 30 Roc — in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Recently, Casanova also found himself in hot water when he filmed himself shooting a music video during the Coronavirus pandemic. After initially standing his ground, he eventually took to social media to apologize following some on-air advice from “The Breakfast Club”:
“To all the people who saw my videos over the weekend I want to apologize… If you know me, you know what I’ve been thru and that I like to have fun and turn up with my friends. I didn’t take this Coronavirus situation seriously until I visited my local hospital Kings county saw for my own see what this virus is doing everybody.I put my family, my friends at risk and that isn’t something that is cool at all.”
