DJ Jazzy Jeff has updated fans that he’s “good” after announcing he was experiencing possible Coronavirus symptoms. The former Will Smith-collaborator shared the good news on Tuesday (March 31).

“I’m GOOD!!!” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Thank God!!! I posted yesterday to bring awareness to how serious this is… Pls look out for each other.”

From his message, it’s unclear whether or not Jeff tested negative for Coronavirus or if the symptoms he was experiencing simply went away.

The “Summertime” artist had previously revealed he’d lost his sense of taste and smell while recovering from pneumonia in both of his lungs. Although the Center for Disease Control and Prevention does not include these lost senses as confirmed Coronavirus symptoms, several people diagnosed with the disease have reported losing their sense of smell and taste, which is what led Jeff to believe he may have contracted the novel virus.

“I’m recovering from pneumonia in both my lungs… I lost my sense of smell and taste which is a main sign of the virus,” he wrote on his Story Monday (March 30). “I would NOT be here if not for my guardian angel for a wife!”

Furthermore, Jeff had warned his followers not to take the pandemic lightly.

“Please take this serious,” he wrote. “It does not care who you are… what you do or what your plans are. Stay safe.”

Last week, Styles P revealed to fans that he’d also thought he had contracted the virus after suffering from flu-like symptoms and losing eight pounds.

“I almost died in January,” Styles tweeted. “And I never get the flu and if I do it’s a day or two. In January I was down for a week and lost about 8 pounds !! I had the rona !! It had to be the Rona !!!!”

Styles’ announcement arrived after Idris Elba, Slim Thug, Scarface and more revealed they’d tested positive for Coronavirus.
