Sooner than later, Canadian duo dvsn will be releasing their third studio LP A Muse In Her Feelings, which is said to feature the previously released singles “A Muse,” “Miss Me?,” and the Future-assisted “No Cryin’.” This week, fans get to check out their latest drop “Between Us,” which features fellow R&B maven Snoh Aalegra and sees the collaborators blurring the lines between apologies and sultry disposition:

“Let me start by sayin’ sorry, some days I take your time for granted/

You could be the star in my universe, if I just took time to plan it/

Told me secrets you ain’t wanna/

Trust is big for you, that’s why I’m keeping it a hunna/

Crazy vulnerable s*** in common/

Just keeps us apart when we should be starting/

To keep our promises, we could be promisin’/

You say I’m closed off, let’s open up and take our clothes off/

I don’t want nothing in between us…/”

Courtesy of producer Nineteen85, “Between Us” flips Usher’s classic single “Nice & Slow,” which is a pretty good sample given the track’s adult subject matter.

Back in 2017, dvsn delivered their second studio album Morning After, which boasted the singles “Think About Me,” “Don’t Choose,” “Mood” and “P.O.V.” Prior to that, they released their debut SEPT. 5TH. dvsn member Daniel Daley spoke on their approach to R&B in an interview with Billboard:

We’ve found the place that [R&B] should go, just by being true to what we love. There is a whole wave of artists that are being so real and so true to themselves. That’s all R&B needed — a jolt of reality.”

You can press play on “Between Us” below, which is available on all of your favorite streaming platforms. A Muse In Her Feelings should be arriving sooner than later.
