One week after dropping his highly anticipated album, Eternal Atake, Lil Uzi Vert has returned with the deluxe version to the LP.

On Friday (March 13), Lil Uzi’s extended body of work featured eight new tracks with vocals from Future, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Young Thug and more. On March 8, Uzi announced that his upcoming project would be worth the wait.

“Bro when [the] deluxe [version] drops the real order is insane,” he wrote at the time. After a fan suggested that the deluxe version might be two or three additional songs, Uzi set the record straight.

“[You’re] wrong I’m going to [have] like 8 songs,” he wrote in reference to the fan who suggested otherwise on Twitter.

Eternal Atake’s co-producer, Supah Mario, opened up about Uzi’s approach while working on the project. “For this album, he wanted his voice and his lyrics to shine more than the actual beats,” he said of Uzi. “He’s used to using so many hard beats, and sometimes the beats will overshadow the lyrics. He wanted more of a simplistic vibe for this, but something that still had a lot of bass.”

The release of Eternal Atake came after Uzi explained his break from music during an interview with GQ last year. “I like making music, and I like making people happy,” he said. “But the music is whatever, bro. I really do it just to make my family happy. Like, it’s just something for my family to talk about.”

He continued, “I just how I felt. That’s all. I just wanted to be more normal. The ultimate goal is buying a Bugatti.”

Prior to dropping Eternal Atake and its deluxe, Uzi released his debut studio album, Luv Is Rage 2, in August 2017.
