Lil Baby has earned his first No. 1 album with his latest project, My Turn. According to Billboard, the 20-track record debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 and has made history with the largest streaming week for an album so far this year.

Nielsen Music / MRC Data puts the album’s sales at 197,000 equivalent album hits in the US through last week. The Quality Control-released project marks Baby’s fifth charting album and his fourth to make it within the Top 10, following 2018’s Street Gossip, Gunna-collaborated Drip Harder and last year’s Harder Than Ever.

My Turn also earned the Atlanta-born rapper’s most successful week in terms of units earned. The record moved almost 70,000 more units than his previously held peak, which was 130,000 units earned with Drip Harder.

Along with being the most streamed album of 2020, My Turn also grabbed the largest streaming week for any album since Post Malone’s 2019 record, Hollywood’s Bleeding. In terms of Quality Control’s ranking, My Turn arrives as the label’s third No. 1 album, following Migos’ Culture and Culture II.

Baby celebrated the album’s success with an Instagram post on Thursday (March 5).

“‘My Turn’ Out Now On All Platforms !!If You Haven’t Check Me Out If You Have Go Again!!” he captioned a photo of the album’s cover art. “Thanks To Everyone For The Endless Support!! Let’s Get This [money].”

On Twitter, the rapper alluded to a forthcoming tour announcement on May 2.

“All my shows be piped,” he captioned a video of tour footage. “Tour coming soon.”

Recently, Baby dropped off visuals for My Turn cuts “Sum 2 Prove” and “Forever” featuring Lil Wayne.

Last week, after launching the My Turn Scholarship at his old high school, Baby told Billboard that while he was excited at the possibility of his album going No. 1, his connection with his fans is most important to him.

“Numbers ain’t really that important,” he said. “They are when you go No. 1… but, for the most part, don’t try to think about the numbers. Just try to go as hard as you can go.”
