Megan Thee Stallion’s Suga is still set to arrive on Friday (March 6), despite 1501 Certified Entertainment and label CEO Carl Crawford’s best attempts to block her debut album’s release. Taking to the ‘Gram on Thursday (March 5), the Houston Hottie confirmed the project’s upcoming drop date and celebrated the court’s decision to uphold its restraining order against Crawford and the label.

“FACTS ARE FACTS AND THE FACTS ARE PUBLIC,” she wrote. “I’m extremely pleased that 1501 and Carl Crawford were denied the request to dissolve the Court order and try to stop my music from being released. I will proceed with the release of SUGA. On Friday March 6.”

“To be clear, I will stand up for myself and won’t allow two men to bully me, I am NO ONE’S PROPERTY,” her post continued. “Y’all are choosing to highlight the issue of music splits…talk about everything else. This has nothing to do with anyone else including JAY-Z, stop deflecting and trying to make this a publicity stunt… I want my rights.”

Megan previously accused Crawford and the label of stopping her from releasing new music — a tactic she says they employed when she tried to renegotiate her contract. The “All Dat” rapper subsequently sued the label for over $1 million in damages and asked the court to place a temporary restraining order against Crawford and 1501 so that they couldn’t block her music, which the court approved.

Conversely, Crawford has claimed that Megan is lying about their dispute and accused her of withholding money from the label.

Megan reiterated her accusations against the label in the Instagram post.

“The facts are… 1501 doesn’t want to approve my budget to put out my project that the court is allowing to be released,” she wrote, adding that “1501 tried to stop my release, I prevailed in court.”

“1501 tried to fight the decision today, the court denied 1501’s request,” she continued. “Respect my deceased mother, she’s not here, you don’t know her, you weren’t involved, Carl should speak for himself… All the facts are public record available at the courthouse in Houston.”

Already sharing the tracklist earlier this week, Megan’s Suga will feature appearances from Kehlani and Gunna.
