Currently, Lil Baby’s sophomore album My Turn looks to win the Billboard 200 number one spot with ease. According to Hits Daily Double, the Quality Control release is projected to move between 170 to 190 thousand equivalent album units, making My Turn one of the top releases of the year thus far. The Atlanta star isn’t letting up on the promotion, either. Following a viral clip for the Gunna collaboration “Heatin Up,” Lil Baby returns with a new music video for “Forever,” which features New Orleans hip hop veteran Lil Wayne.

Directed by Jon J, the clip is simple-yet-effective, as shots mix between the artists performing in front of video backdrop to your usual hip hop fare — money, diamonds, women, cars, etc. Even beside Weezy F., Lil Baby is at his absolute best lyrically, keeping things very street over Twysted Genius’ production:

“Wrap it, make sure they can’t smell it/

Drive too far? Don’t matter, I’ll mail it/

Tryna steal swag, I see it, I smell it/

Used to get mad, probably beat up my celly/

Now I sell bags every day in my city/

Ain’t doin’ no playin’, when they come, be ready/

I got murder on my mind like that lil’ n***a Melly…/”

My Turn was released this past Friday and sees 20 tracks with additional appearances from Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Moneybagg Yo, Young Thug and more. Previously, Lil Baby liberated the high-selling drops Harder Than Ever, Street Gospel, the collaborative Drip Harder with the aforementioned Gunna and a slew of other top-rated mixtapes.

Check out “Forever” below, along with Lil Baby’s recent sit-down with State Of The Culture’s own Joe Budden. During the interview, Baby gets candid about his upbringing, what Gucci Mane means to Atlanta hip hop, Quality Control’s Pee and Coach K, his relationship with Gunna, his respect for DaBaby and much more.
