Royce da 5’9 probably said it best, “Best rapper between Cardi and Meg Thee Stallion is Kash Doll.” While that line is more out of bias than anything else, he certainly wasn’t far from the truth — the Detroit emcee has become one of the premiere artists of her generation, regardless of gender. Following well-received projects like Brat Mail and The Vault, the Republic-signed artist dropped off her debut album Stacked last year, which saw 17 infectious tracks and appearances from Teyana Taylor, Summer Walker, fellow Detroit star Big Sean, Lil Wayne and more. Now, she’s ready to take on 2020, beginning with the new single “Wake Up.”

Produced by FKi 1st and meant to become the latest Tik Tok viral hit, “Wake Up” is a statement to those who know that, in order to become successful, you have to be the first one grinding and the last one out:

“You still be sleeping late, don’t got no real estate/

You don’t get money, cause you don’t do anything/

Early birds get the worm and I’m one fly ass b***h/

If you broke, wake up early ho, you should try that s***…/”

Press play on “Wake Up” below. Fans can also check out Kash Doll — along with supporting acts Rubi Rose and Jucee Froot — on the road beginning this month as part of her “Dollhouse Tour.” If you missed them, those dates await you below as well.
