Over the weekend, Griselda/Shady artist Conway The Machine celebrated another year around the sun. In lieu of his 38th birthday, the Buffalo emcee gifted his fans with two new heaters to enjoy: a new cut titled “Fredo Joint” (produced by Graymatter) and an equally-dope freestyle over Young Thug, Gunna and Travis Scott’s “Hot.” As expected on both, Conway delivers the type of bars that should easily earn him a hip hop hall of fame guarantee:

“I promise, this shit is like a shot of dope all in ya vein/

You think this depression shit is all a joke, it’s all a game/

So I smoke to keep my stress in order, post traumatic stress disorder/

I will shoot this Heckler towards ya, better have your vest in order/

VS’s in my necklace so my neck is water/

Told the engineer to just press record and I’ll spit somethin’ epic for ya/

I just got the Tesla ordered/

Go see my connect he said, ‘I’m gon’ do somethin’ extra for ya/

My shipment just left the water’/”

This isn’t the only music he’s cooked up this month, either. Conway released a couple of other songs the previous week — the Daringer-produced “Sign Language” and another dope freestyle over Nicki Minaj’s “Yikes.” He also provided his assistance on Graph’s new single, “Pray.”

Last year saw plenty of music from Conway and Griselda Records as a whole. Not only did he release the mixtapes Everybody Is F.O.O.D. 3 and Look What I Became, his label mates WESTSIDE GUNN and Benny The Butcher joined him in delivering the collective’s Shady Records debut, WWCD — which stands for What Would Chine Gun Do?, a tribute to the group’s fallen comrade. Given the past work ethic, fans can probably bet on a multitude of new projects from Conway & Co. this year as well.
