Kodak Black drops Valentine’s Day single “Because Of You”
The currently-incarcerated emcee spreads love on his latest.
Kodak Black isn’t going to let his current incarceration get in the way of his love. On cupid’s big holiday, the Floridian rapper liberates a new single titled “Because Of You,” which sees him waxing poetic about a women who’s changing his life for the better:
“All because of you, I’ma be a better man/
Now I wanna do, things I ain’t never did/
I’ma open up, and show another side/
I ain’t showed no one, I ain’t showed no one/
I ain’t showed no one this side of me/
I think I love someone, it mighta be/
I wanna trust someone, and finally I got a crush on one…/”
As far as that crush in question, it looks like the Dying To Live rapper also revealed the person he admires via social media. His most recent Instagram post features a short poem dedicated to Spider-Man and “Euphoria” actress Zendaya Coleman, who may or may not be surprised by the gesture:
It may also come as a surprise that Kodak Black has this kind of subject matter on his mind. Currently serving a four-year prison sentence for federal gun charges, Kodak has since been giving updates on how bad the conditions are in the prison he currently resides in:
“Why Should I Sit In This B***h & Let These Ppl Do Me Any Kinda Way? Why Stay Mute When You Have A Voice? Yea, Yea And As Far As Da Ma Dukes Go, Ya Ion Really Appreciate How Buddy Got Her Out There All Down Bad & S*** But In The Same Token, Dam Right The Ol Girl Ain’t Really Feelin How These Ppl Playing With Her Youngest, But A N***a Thuggin Da Greatest Tho!”
