Phony Ppl & Megan Thee Stallion head to the car wash in “Fkn Around” visual
Their funky, dance floor-ready collaboration gets even better.
The collaboration that we didn’t know we needed.
When Megan Thee Stallion and Phony Ppl premiered this jam during last December’s NPR Tiny Desk performance, it was hard not to notice the perfect chemistry between the collaborators. That very chemistry is seen tenfold in the new visual for the Ivan Barias-produced track, which was premiered via Complex and – as revealed by Phony Ppl – is a lesson in enjoying life:
”’Fkn Around’ is a fun time for everyone involved… You gotta handle your business or your business gonna handle you! Shooting this video was a beautiful experience in L,A. Shoutout to everyone from production, to the extras, and Megan Thee Stallion for being a part of this. Y’all are all lovely. Enjoy the film.”
The visual certainly matches that vibe. Phony Ppl are seen working out of an auto body shop while Megan Thee Stallion keeps it sexy in a car wash, and everyone’s grooving to the infectious melody. Megan herself keeps it straight to the point in regards to the song’s subject matter, which may be alluding to recent news about who she is (or isn’t) currently in a relationship with:
“Don’t ask questions if we just sexing/
I got situations, no conformations/
Everybody wanna know who Megan dating/
Well that depends on whatever the day is…/”
All-in-all, “Fkn Around” keeps it real about dating — and the reality of cheating — in real time, all while making you want to find a partner to dance with. Just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Check out the visual for “Fkn Around” below, which is also available on your favorite streaming network. In related news, Megan Thee Stallion is also burning up dance floors with her own new single, “B.I.T.C.H,” as well as via her featured appearance on the Yo Gotti and Lil Uzi Vert collaboration, “Pose.”
