His new album, ‘Funeral,’ pushed him over the edge.

With his 13th studio album Funeral arriving last month, Lil Wayne now has one more milestone to celebrate. The New Orleans-bred legend has officially made his way to second place on the Billboard Top 40 Hot 100 hits list, surpassing Elvis Presley. His Funeral cut “I Do It,” featuring Big Sean and Lil Baby, pushed him over the threshold.

Wayne now only sits below his protege Drake, who lords with 100 entries. Over the course of his career, Weezy has had 82 songs in the Hot 100’s Top 40, while Elvis had 81.

Including “I Do It,” Funeral ushered in four Hot 100 hits with “Mahogany” debuting at No. 61, “Mama Mia” ranking at No. 87 and “Funeral” placing at No. 88. The four new entries place Wayne’s career Hot 100 total at 167, marking the third-most in the chart’s history behind Drake and the cast of “Glee,” who are tied at 207.

Other rap artists ranking high on the Hot 100 Top 40 list include Kanye West at sixth place with 54 entries, Nicki Minaj at seventh place with 54, Eminem at eighth place with 51 and JAY-Z holding eleventh place with 50 hits.

Funeral also marked Wayne’s fifth No. 1 album.

Wayne previously appeared on “Drink Champs” and talked about the influence of Andre 3000 and embracing his rockstar persona on Funeral.

“I definitely looked at Andre and what he did… But Dre went all the way there,” he said. “It’s impossible for me to go all the way somewhere when I am who I am, so what I wanted to do is make sure that I go there and I bring Lil Wayne to that.”

Last week, the rap veteran gave a passionate performance of Funeral cut “Dreams” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and guest appeared as a contestant on Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” where he was disguised as “The Robot.”
