Ne-Yo and Crystal Smith have called it quits and are reportedly filing for divorce. According to The Jasmine Brand, Smith is preparing to file for divorce from the singer this month. The source said that the couple have been separated for “quite some time,” and “Crystal left him. She’s had enough.”

The reason behind the split is unclear, but Ne-Yo’s estranged wife has removed all images of the singer from her social media page. She has also posted cryptic messages on her Instagram story.

Ne-Yo and Crystal tied the knot on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 in a ceremony in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The wedding was held at Terranea Resort, according to Us Weekly, and included a reception at Catalina Kitchen.

“At the end of the ceremony, Ne-Yo and Crystal held hands and raised their arms into the air as all the guests screamed and cheered,” a source told the outlet. “They looked so happy and in love.”

The couple has two children together, one named after the singer, Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr. and another named Roman Alexander-Raj Smith.

Ne-Yo caught heat after getting Smith pregnant with their second child because he had reportedly persuaded his ex, Monyetta Shaw, to get her tubes tied because he didn’t want anymore children. He also promised to get a vasectomy, but didn’t, according to The Sun.

Shaw, who was with the singer for four years previously told Us Weekly, “I understand that some exes can’t get along or stand to be in the same place with each other, but we have made a conscious decision not to be those people. We understand that respect for one another is important, even if we don’t see eye to eye on a situation. We figure it out as adults and ultimately come to a resolve.”

She added, “It is so important to co-parent positively because that will determine the mind-set of our kids in the long run. They are the bigger picture. We do it for them.”

Ne-Yo and Shaw have a son and daughter together.
