Nicki Minaj has ended her solo music hiatus with a promo single titled “Yikes.” The Queen rapper previously shared a snippet of the track and hinted that the full song would arrive on Friday (Feb. 7).

“It’s not my single, because the single will be launched with the visual,” she said of the track during her Pollstar Q&A on Wednesday (Feb. 5). “This is a setup song with no video. Please don’t kill me, y’all. You guys asked me to put it out — don’t forget!”

Nevertheless, the barbz are thrilled about the return of their fearless leader.

“Yikes is definitely a vibe, if a promo single is [fire] just imagine how the single gon be,” one fan tweeted. “We really winning this era. The Queen still reigns, who is seeing her?”

“My Queen has done it again,” another wrote. “This is why you will always remain the GOAT. You cant be replaced. Keep pushing Nicki we barbz got your back always.”

Elsewhere in her Pollstar interview, Minaj hinted that “Yikes” may soon be followed by more singles and a potential album.

“I feel like albums should be a surprise, sonically, what people can expect,” she said. “But [fans] can expect to feel like, okay, Nicki’s in a good place. That’s what I’ll say about that.”

Back in October, Minaj had said it was uncertainty surrounding her next project that made her announce her sudden retirement.

“So, it was really about the fifth album. Where do I stand with it, I didn’t know my fans were going to act like that with the tweet, and it hurt my feelings,” she had told The Shade Room. “I felt like the way I did it was like insensitive to my fans, I didn’t know it was going to be that big of a deal… But you know what, I’m a human being and sometimes in the middle of all this chaos, you’re a woman, you’re a human being, you have feelings, you may speak out of term.”

“Yikes” marks the rapper’s first solo single since last year’s “Megatron.” Most recently, she teamed up with Meghan Trainor on “Nice to Meet Ya.”
