Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj and her husband get into a yelling match at L.A. boutique
The scene was caught on tape.
Things got heated between Meek Mill, his ex-girlfriend Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty when the three ran into each other at Maxfield clothing store in West Hollywood on Friday (Jan. 24), TMZ reports. Apparently, they got into a yelling match inside of the store and in video footage obtained by the outlet, Meek can be seen being held back and escorted out of the store by his security and employees working at the boutique.
In the clip, Nicki and Petty can be heard exchanging words with Meek. Petty and Meek also called one another a “p—y n—a.” It is uncertain what caused things to escalate, but it sounds like it could have been about Nicki as Meek was heard saying, “Can’t talk to me one-on-one.”
Nicki can be heard yelling as well, seemingly calling Meek a “b-tch.”
The Queens rapper confirmed her split from Meek in Jan. 2017, tweeting at the time, “To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year.”
Meek spoke of the split later that year during a radio interview with Philadelphia Power 99’s Cosmic Kev, admitting that he “wanted Nicki” his “whole life.”
“It was a win. I got Nicki when I was…like, I came up. I always wanted Nicki my whole life. I used to talk Nicki Minaj—remember I had the rap about it? I bagged that. So, that was a win of course,” he said.
On the split specifically, Meek continued, “Of course, breaking up with anyone you love is a loss. Period. Game time. Ya heard? You want me to get up here and make up a lie or something, Kev? It’s so easy to tell the truth now. But nobody can believe that interview is going so smooth, because it’s just so easy to tell the truth and kick that talk, because we living it. And this is what we’re representing. A lot of people, it became a little trend to try to hate Meek Mill; I don’t know what they was thinking. It comes with being a threat; it comes with being a threat. I watch it time and time and over with good playas.”
