DaBaby is starting off 2020 without any marijuana in his system.

The “Suge” rapper responded to a fan who tweeted that he looked “high” in a picture he posted of himself. She tweeted, “Baby you look high asl in this one.” He replied, “I haven’t smoked since the ball dropped.”

DaBaby also says that he is trying to give up liquor as well. He says that he is doing “wine only” but admits he slipped up and had a little tequila with his friends.

“Wine Only. But bruh nem had me on the Patron last night,” he tweeted back to a fan who claimed that he had appeared drunk in that same photo.

The news of a more sober DaBaby comes after he apparently assaulted a Beverly Hills hotel worker over the weekend. In the video obtained by TMZ, DaBaby appears upset with the hotel worker and pushes him down in a chair in the lobby.

DaBaby responded to the allegations saying that the man took photos of him, while he was with his daughter, even after he asked him not to.

In an Instagram post, he wrote “That hotel worker you see me ‘pushing’ came up to me outside the hotel & asked could he record a video of me while I was holding my 2 year old daughter.”

He continued, “After being told no still being on the clock at work he walked to the other side of the parking lot maybe 50 feet away and zoomed in while recording a video of me and my daughter…”

“Being a celebrity and being liked by the public is cool and all but I’m a father before anything,” he said.

DaBaby also threatened to have his lawyers contact the hotel if they don’t provide him with the footage of their employee violating company policy by asking him for a picture.
