A video of DaBaby shoving a hotel worker is quickly circulating the net. According to XXL, the “Bop” rapper pushed the employee back in December, however the video began making its’ way across social media on Saturday (Jan. 18). Apparently, the clip, which was obtained by TMZ, is from the Beverly Hills hotel. The incident took place on Dec. 19 and in the surveillance footage, DaBaby can be seen following a man into a building with his crew behind him. After making their way into the hotel, DaBaby is seen yelling at the man and subsequently pushed him into a wall.

The identified employee falls onto a chair. DaBaby then appears to yell at him once more before leaving the establishment. TMZ reports that the hotel employee initially followed the rapper outside to the parking lot in an attempt to get a photo with him. DaBaby reportedly turned down the employee’s request and began walking into the hotel. Further details regarding how things escalated are unclear. Also, police were not called to the scene.

The rapper and his team left the hotel “without further incident,” XXL reports.

DaBaby’s attorney, Michael Heiskell, has addressed the footage. “Any actions taken by DaBaby were likely in self defense based upon his recall of the events and until the video is thoroughly reviewed we have no further comment at this time,” he said in a statement.

DaBaby took to Instagram shortly after the video footage surfaced to explain what actually happened. The rapper said that the employee asked him to record a video while he was holding his 2-year-old daughter. “I calmly and respectfully said no and explained to him that posting a video of me at the time would compromise the safety of me and my child by letting social media know where we were staying,” he said.

DaBaby said after he told the employee no, he recorded him and his daughter anyway and put it on Snapchat. “I told him to delete the video immediately and take his b-tch a— back in the hotel and do his job since he wasn’t capable of being professional enough to abide by company policy while doing his job outside of the hotel,” the rapper wrote.

He added, “Being a celebrity and being liked by the public is cool & all but ima father before anything and my number 1 priority is providing for and protecting the interest of my child.”
