After landing in Miami on Monday (Dec. 23), Lil Wayne’s private jet was searched by FBI agents who found drugs and a firearm. No charges have been filed yet, however, the investigation is ongoing.

According to The Miami Herald, the Miami-Dade Police Department received a tip about possible weapons and marijuana on Wayne’s plane. Police alerted federal authorities in order to obtain a search warrant, which they used to search the plane at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. Authorities told the Herald that during the search, they seized a gun and cocaine.

The search included investigators from the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Miami-Dade PD. The aircraft was reportedly traveling from California.

Miami defense attorney Howard Srebnick said that Weezy, his client, was “cleared” to leave the scene by Monday evening (Dec. 23) by federal investigators. Since no immediate charges were filed, it appears Wayne will be free to enjoy his Christmas.

“All goody! I think they thought I was talking abt a different ‘Pack’ in my last tweet,” Wayne, who’s a huge Green Bay Packers fan, tweeted about the incident. “But anyway GO PACK GO!!!”

This isn’t the first run-in with police searches that Wayne has faced. Back in May, he refused to perform at Rolling Loud after festival police mandated a police check.

“I’m sorry but I won’t be performing,” he tweeted before he was set to perform. “The Festival Police (Not Rolling Loud) made it mandatory that I had to be policed and checked to get on the stadium grounds. I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job and give you guys a great show.”

In other Wayne news, the legendary rapper recently paid tribute to Juice WRLD by playing the late rapper’s collaboration with Future, “Fine China,” in an Instagram post.

“Say less,” Wayne captioned the video, which showed him listening to the song before skateboarding.
