Clipse, Tyler, the Creator, Post Malone and more will perform at this year’s Something in the Water festival. Event organizers shared the Pharrell-led Virginia Beach festival lineup on Thursday (Dec. 12) through the festival’s social media accounts.
Boasting a star-studded list, the multi-day event will feature artists such as newly reunited hometown heroes Clipse, A$AP Rocky, Chance the Rapper, EarthGang, Gunna, H.E.R., Jaden Smith, Kali Uchis, Lil Tecca, Lil Tjay, Metro Boomin, Migos, Playboi Carti, Post Malone, Rico Nasty, Tyler, The Creator, Usher, Trey Songz, 6LACK, Tierra Whack and more.
The festival, which will span from April 20 – 26, has more than doubled in length since the inaugural three-day event last year. Artists such as Missy Elliott, Travis Scott and Anderson .Paak made Pharrell’s initial festival a hit, so much so that local residents camped out in lines to buy presale tickets for the 2020 festival two months ago.
Virginia Beach high school students were the first to know the upcoming festival’s lineup. Daily Press reports that principals announced artist names over loudspeakers in 12 schools on Thursday morning (Dec. 12).
This year, Pharrell will make Something in the Water even more special for his hometown with daily celebratory themes. In an interview with local ABC Affiliate WVEC, The Neptunes frontman explained that each day of the weeklong event will mark its own celebration. Monday (April 20) will be Health & Wellness Day, followed by Tech Tuesday. Female attendees will be honored on Women Wednesday and on Food and Wine Thursday the city will celebrate with the best worldwide and local dishes and drinks. Job Fair Friday will lead festival goers into the weekend, where the impressive lineup of artists will perform.
General admission tickets for the fest will go on sale this Saturday (Dec. 14) at noon EST, via the official Something in the Water website. See the entire lineup below.
