Rapper Saucy Santana was among three injured in a drive by shooting in Miami.

“Three people including a well-known entertainer were hospitalized after an early morning shooting on Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade Wednesday. Florida Highway Patrol officials say the shooting took place near the entrance ramp to I-95 from Miami Gardens Drive around 4 a.m. According to officials, a Honda sedan with three people inside was approached by a Chevy sedan that pulled up and opened fire,” NBC Miami reports.

All three of the victims were taken to Aventura Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to their arms and hands. Santana’s talent manager says he was hanging out with his friends when they were targeted in a random drive-by shooting. “Saucy Santana wants to thank everyone for the calls and support,” K Daniel Talent Management said in a statement. No additional information has been released about the shooter.

Santana recently rose to fame after his hilarious Instagram live videos with City Girls’ Yung Miami went viral. His phrase “what’s big sa-weetie?” was used in memes across all social media platforms. His breakout single, “Walk Em Like A Dog” has garnered almost 3 million Youtube views to date. Rihanna even booked Santana to perform at her Fashion Week afterparty. He currently performs the song in clubs around the country.

He recently sat down with Genius to talk about how he got started in the rap industry. “I started rapping in February of this year. Me and my friends had a podcast that we used to do on Facebook and we was like umm we need to do an intro song so that when we do the podcast, the little song plays in the beginning. Out of everybody that had a verse, my verse hit the strongest.”

The REVOLT team wishes Santana a speedy recovery.
