Things are not looking good for Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. Manhattan prosecutors say a woman claimed “the defendant repeatedly asked” her why she wasn’t drinking, allegedly stating, “Aren’t you a picky bitch?” The documents say, when she decided to leave, Gooding “seemed agitated.” He apparently tried to kiss her without her consent and when she pushed him away he “placed his hands on her buttocks.” The woman “felt the defendant push his hand forcefully into the crotch area of her tights, placing his fingers on her anus” causing her tights to rip. The woman got away by biting the actor’s cheek, prosecutors claim.

USA Today reports, “Other witnesses allege Gooding groped their breasts or buttocks or genitals, or kissed or attempted to kiss them in a nightclub in Los Angeles in 2005; at a restaurant in New York in 2006; at a restaurant in the Atlanta area in 2011; in a nightclub in San Francisco in 2016; and at a restaurant in Malibu in 2016.”

The seven new women who have come forward alleging sexual misconduct, brought his total number of accusers to 22. Gooding is not being charged with any crimes in connection to the new allegations because they’re either too old or did not take place in Manhattan. Prosecutors want to show that Gooding has had a pattern of sexual misconduct with women for several years. These witnesses can help strengthen their actual charged case against him.

Gooding has been indicted by a grand jury on three counts of forcibly touching involving three women in Manhattan bars and restaurants in June 2019, Oct. 2019, and Sept. 2019.

Gooding’s next court date is scheduled for Jan. 22. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges. His lawyers, Mark Heller and Peter Toumbekis, restated that Gooding denies all allegations of criminal conduct.
