New information has surfaced following Juice WRLD’s tragic death. According to law enforcement and reported by TMZ, the rapper / singer had taken “several unknown pills” prior to his seizure at the Chicago Midway Airport on Sunday (Dec. 8).

Law enforcement also says that 70 pounds of marijuana were found on Juice’s private jet, as well as a bottle of codeine cough syrup. TMZ further reported that the rising star suffered an addiction to Percocet pain killers.

Juice was rushed to the hospital after landing at the Chicago Midway Airport at 1 a.m. local time on Sunday (Dec. 8). The rapper began seizing at the airport and was bleeding from the mouth. Reports say he was conscious on his way to the hospital but died shortly after his arrival.

The cause of his death has not yet been confirmed.

A video that was taken of Juice during his last flight has surfaced on social media. He can be seen smiling and joking around with his team.

Last year, the Death Race For Love artist opened up about his codeine addiction and said he was quitting the substance.

“Ima leave that sh*t alone 4 good watch me.. I’m done w it,” he tweeted. “I got work to do, a lot.”

After the tweet, Juice apologized for his struggle with addiction to his girlfriend.

“Bae I’m sorry I be tweaking, you’ve put up with more than ppl know I know I be scaring you, fu*k Codeine I’m done,” he wrote. “I love you and im letting it be known publicly that ain’t sh*t fu*king up the real love I found. Learn from this everyone. Addiction kills all but you can overcome.”

According to TMZ, a medical examiner’s report of Juice’s cause of death will arrive later today (Dec. 9).
