Ciara will be ringing in the new year as the host of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.” According to Deadline, the Atlanta singer has been named the host of the west coast broadcast for the third year in a row.

The “Melanin” singer will be joined by Salt-N-Pepa, Megan Thee Stallion, Paula Abdul, Dua Lipa and a host of others who will hit the stage in Hollywood. She will be performing as well.

The outlet reports that YouTube will return as the presenting sponsor and will produce special content that will air throughout the show highlighting the top trends and stories from 2019.

“Hosting ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest’ has become something I look forward to every year, and now my friend Lucy Hale and Billy Porter have joined the family, so the party just leveled up!” said Ciara. “I am going to be performing my new song ‘Melanin,’ so I hope all my melanin kings and queens tune-in to rock out with me and the amazing line-up of performers this year.”

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” will broadcast live on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) at 8:00 pm EST on ABC.

Don’t be fooled, Ciara has become a season veteran at hosting events. She hosted the 2019 American Music Awards last month at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. She announced the news on her Instagram page, “I am so excited to finally share that I will be hosting this year’s [AMAs] LIVE Sunday, November 24th at 8/7c on ABC! Let’s go!”

Ciara filled the shoes of Tracee Ellis Ross, Jimmy Kimmel and Pitbull, who have all hosted the AMAs in the past.

She also hosted the Billboard Music Awards back in 2016, alongside longtime friend and collaborator Ludacris.
