New details have surfaced surrounding Kanye West’s upcoming Nebuchadnezzar opera.

According to a press release issued on Thursday (Nov. 21), the production will be set in 6th century B.C. and will tell “the biblical story from the Book of Daniel of the Babylonian king who transitions from wicked, imperious, self-declared ruler to a true believer who finds salvation in his faith.”

Directed by Italian contemporary performance artist Vanessa Beecroft, Nebuchadnezzar will bring music by Kanye’s Sunday Service and Peter Collins & Infinities Song to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this Sunday (Nov. 24).

Never one to shy away from a new form of artistic expression, Kanye’s first opera will continue the Christian themes found in his new album, Jesus Is King.

“West conceived of this opera as an expression of his commitment to both his faith and ever-expanding musical palette,” the press release continued. “Nebuchadnezzar brings together elements from different worlds, including opera, fine art, modern dance and gospel music, to create an innovative performance structure. West’s sound is the bridge between these art forms.”

The news arrives after the Sapphire 39 New York strip club invited ‘Ye to bring his Sunday Service to their venue.

“We have extended an offer to [Kanye West] to deliver his faith-filled concert in a new venue, to a new audience of Gentlemen’s Club entertainers, service staff & more,” the club wrote on Twitter, along with a release, on Thursday (Nov. 21). “We’d love to open the doors to our 39th street location in NYC & have him & his choir grace us with their presence.”

In the release, Sapphire’s Vice President Andrew Zarian named Kanye’s past Sunday Service performances at Harris County Jail, Houston’s Baker Street Jail and at Joel Osteen’s megachurch. Zarian extended the invitation, citing ‘Ye’s “affinity for adult entertainment.”

Despite acting as co-creative directer of last year’s Pornhub Awards, the Jesus Is King rapper recently opened up about his porn addiction and likened strip clubs to a form of sex trafficking at his Joel Osteen Sunday Service.

Kanye hasn’t publicly responded to the invitation yet. However, tickets for his opera are still on sale.
