On Thursday (Nov. 21), Chris Brown shared the news that he and his ex-girlfriend, model Ammika Harris, had welcomed their first child. Us Weekly reports that the baby was born on Wednesday (Nov. 20).

Both Harris and Brown shared cryptic messages on social media announcing the birth of their son. Brown shared a black-and-white photo with a caption that read “11-20-2019,” followed by a second selfie showing the “No Guidance” singer wearing a hoodie that said, “BORN.”

Harris also seemingly referenced their son’s birth by writing “I was in love, when I first saw you” on her Instagram Story.

The newborn is Brown’s first son. He also has a 5-year-old daughter, Royalty, with Nia Guzman.

The Indigo crooner has previously opened up about his fatherhood experiences, sharing sweet posts about his daughter.

“This generation will fix this planet,” he wrote on Instagram on Oct. 19, sharing a photo of a smiling Royalty. “IM DOING MY BEST to allow my child to grow and teach me to be better. ALL THE FATHERS OUT THERE WHO DONT STEP UP TO THE PLATE, YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON WHAT LIVING REALLY IS.”

Brown spoke about co-parenting Royalty with Guzman back in 2015, while on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest.”

“So I have a co-parenting job that’s pretty amazing but, you know, learning how to be a dad, especially learning how to take care of somebody else, you know, I barely know how to brush my teeth in the morning!” he joked at the time. “It’s actually great. It’s very humbling. You know, it’s very calming. I think I was a lot, you know, rambunctious, very hyper as a kid but now seeing that 10 times over, my daughter’s kinda like mellowing me out.”

“That’s the best part of being a dad [is], you know, doing those little things,” he continued.
