On an episode of “The Breakfast Club,” Philadelphia 76ers partner Michael Rubin revealed that he and Meek Mill will be donating millions of dollars to Pennsylvania schools.

“We care about education a lot,” Rubin said. “I don’t know if you guys saw, Meek and I have been talking a lot about education. We’re actually gonna commit, between Meek and I, in Pennsylvania, millions of dollars to Pennsylvania schools this year.”

The news arrives after Meek, who regularly champions his home city, pointed out the number of abandoned schools in Philadelphia.

“Since they got like 30 abandoned schools in Philly …. can we buy one and build a super school in our own neighborhood!” he tweeted earlier this month. “I hang wit a lot of billionaires that really care about education .. ‘all we need is one school to start!’”

Rubin revealed their plan after pledging $125,000 to Change 4 Change, the radio show’s annual 18-hour charity drive to benefit the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. There’s only one catch— “The Breakfast Club” hosts have to wear 76ers merchandise once a week on the show.

“All you rappers, all you athletes, all you entertainers, Michael Rubin has the biggest donation thus far!” Charlamagne Tha God said after Rubin committed to his donation.

Earlier this month, Meek Mill partnered with the Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcom Jenkins to launch a series of PSAs in an effort to highlight the parents of victims of gun violence and police brutality. In partnership with the Player’s Coalition, the “Everyone’s Child” video series is Meek’s next step in the social justice pursuits he’s led this year.

“We have a responsibility to use our platforms to unite people and foster positive change in our communities, but we can’t achieve that goal without education,” Jenkins previously said in a press statement about the initiative. “We want this PSA to generate productive dialogue between people of all backgrounds, so we can start to bridge the communication gap and work together to end these injustices.”
