After teasing fans with snippets from the fifth installment of his Chixtape series, Tory Lanez has finally announced the upcoming mixtape’s official release date.

“CHIXTAPE 5 – NOVEMBER 15,” the “Say It” singer wrote on Instagram. The post also revealed the tape’s cover art, which features Ashanti channeling major 2000’s vibes.

Last month, the Canadian artist shared that Chixtape 5 will feature samples exclusively from the early 2000’s. Tory maintained the theme in his cover art, where Ashanti uses an old school sliding-keyboard cell phone, and in a photo where Tory donned throwback threads.

“ALL SAMPLES FROM #Chixtape5 ARE FROM 2000-2006 … we ain’t dressed like this for nothing … IM BOUT TO TAKE YALL ALL THE WAY BACK,” he wrote on Instagram, Oct. 13.

“2000 -2006 … I want to personally thank these 6 years for being the MAIN INSPIRATION to the SAMPLES and NOSTALGIA used on #Chixtape5,” he continued. “I have never been this hard on the PRODUCTION of any of my albums .. really hope y’all enjoy what I have had the honor of enjoying for the last 8 months.”

In addition to the release date and cover art, Tory decided to connect with fans on a person level by giving out his phone number.

“GAVE OUT MY NEW NUMBER YESTERDAY,” he wrote on Instagram. “ITS OKAY GUYS THIS ITS WHAT IM DOING ON MY SIDE !!! I SPREAD LOVE ! .. LETS GET MORE FAMILY / FANS TO HIT ME DIRECTLY AT MY NEW NUMBER STRICTLY FOR MY FANS TO TEXT ME 305-930-8095.”

The crooner purchased a new phone specifically to answer texts from fans. He later revealed that he’d already received some great texts, writing, “I’m dead a*s in my new phone more than I’m on Instagram !!!! My fans are the funniest and dopest and most entertaining a*s people I ever met !!! And I didn’t realize this till i started talking to them.”

Although Tory has been teasing Chixtape 5 for over a year now, he has dropped several clues for fans along the way. Last year, he linked up with T-Pain to reveal that he’d sampled T-Pain’s hit “I’m Sprung” on the upcoming mixtape. Tory played the song for Nappy Boy, a snippet of which can be heard on a video he tweeted. After listening to the sampled track, T-Pain can be heard exclaiming, “Oh my God, somebody get ’CSI: Miami’ on the phone. There’s a body on the street!”

Chixtape 5 will also feature samples from Trey Songz’ “Can’t Help But Wait” and Fabolous’ “Trade It All.”
