After fan-lead murmurings of a potential sequel to Metro Boomin’s Without Warning, the mega-producer finally took to Twitter to deny the rumors.

“There is no Without Warning 2 and I’m not even sure where these rumors began,” he wrote on Thursday (Oct. 31). “I appreciate everyone’s love for the first album but everything doesn’t need a sequel!”

2017’s Without Warning offered 10 collaborated tracks from Metro, Offset and 21 Savage, with two featured contributions from Quavo and Travis Scott. The LP offered a new glimpse into spooky production from Metro, as well as impressive vocals from 21 Savage and Offset.

Offset gave mumblings about a potential second installment fuel when he tweeted “IT MIGHT BE IN THE POT” this past March, which fans took as a hint toward Without Warning 2. Fans also took some cryptic 2018 tweets, including Offset’s “D O N T T R U S T Y O U,” and three jack-o-lanterns from Metro as clues. This past past September, Instagram photos surfaced of 21 Savage and Metro working together in the studio, leading fans further down a Without Warning 2 rabbit hole.

Although Metro has dispelled any and all rumors surrounding a Without Warning sequel, fans can take comfort in the fact that he and 21 are currently working on the follow-up to their 2016 EP, Savage Mode. Back in July, 21 Savage confirmed that the sequel project will be arriving soon during a concert stop on his I Am > I Was Tour.

Savage Mode 2 on the muthaf**kin’ way,” he told the crowd, before saluting the late Nipsey Hussle.

Offset dropped off his Father Of 4 album earlier this year, with 2018’s Not All Heroes Wear Capes marking Metro’s last full-length release. On Thursday (Oct. 31), 21 Savage released his long-awaited Mortal Kombat-inspired single, “Immortal.” The track first appeared in the trailer for Mortal Kombat 11 back in 2018, before 21 dropped his most recent album, I Am > I Was.
