Tyler Perry’s new Atlanta studio will host the upcoming 2019 Miss Universe. The showcase marks a huge debut event for Perry’s colossal studio, which opened last month.

Women from over 90 countries will compete in the three-hour televised competition, which will be hosted by Steve Harvey for the fifth year. Miss Universe 2019 will be broadcast on Fox and Telemundo on Dec. 8. The show will end by the 2018 reigning victor, Catriona Gray of the Philippines, crowning her successor.

Last week, it was also announced that Perry’s studio will host the Democratic Party’s presidential primary debate on Nov. 20.

Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams shared the news on Twitter.

“Democratic Debate site is set: [Tyler Perry Studios] is a model for Georgia’s vibrant film industry, an engaged corporate citizen and an exceptional location for our #DemDebate,” Abrams tweeted last Friday (Oct. 25). “Looking forward to welcoming the candidates to Georgia on November 20.”

Perry hosted a star-studded gala in honor of his studio opening last month. The movie mogul acquired the location for his 330-acre studio in 2015, which sits atop the former Fort McPherson Confederate army base. The sprawling complex features 12 sounds stages named after prominent African American actors and actresses, 40 buildings and much more.

The Tyler Perry Studio opening hosted guests like Beyonce, JAY-Z, Oprah Winfrey, Cecily Tyson, Taraji P. Henson, Whoopi Goldberg and others.

Bey wrote a sincere congratulatory Instagram post at the time, praising Perry’s accomplishment.

“Congratulations to Tyler Perry on the opening of his studios. I could feel our ancestors’ presence. Surrounded by my heroes, I watched Denzel, Queen Oprah, Spike, Whoopi, Sir Poitier, Will, Halle, Dame Cicely and our angels John Singleton and Diahann Carroll honored,” she wrote. “The Armand de Brignac crashed against each soundstage as fireworks lit up the sky. Generations of blood, sweat and tears, success, excellence and brilliance. It makes me so proud, so full, I could not stop crying. Thank you my Virgo brother for so much love and passion put into every detail. My prayer today is that you will take it all in. You inspire me to dream even bigger.”
