On Tuesday night (Oct.29), Kodak Black was reportedly involved in a prison fight, which left one correctional officer hospitalized. Miami news station, WPLG Local 10, reports that the fight began between two inmates at the Federal Detention Center, where Kodak is currently incarcerated.

Kodak allegedly became involved in the altercation, along with one other inmate, and kicked a prison guard in the groin as they attempted to break up the fight. According to the Miami news outlet, the guard was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery for the injury. The guard’s current condition has not yet been reported.

This past August, the “ZEZE” rapper plead guilty to two counts of federal weapons charges. Kodak was arrested back in May ahead of his Rolling Loud Festival performance in Miami and accused of falsifying information on federal forms while purchasing at least three firearms. Prosecutors allege that Kodak falsified the forms because he checked “no” when asked if he had any previous felony charges. This was determined false, due to Kodak’s ongoing sexual misconduct case, which began in 2016 in Southern California.

Authorities also reported that one of the guns Kodak purchased was later found at the scene of a shooting that occurred at Pompano Beach, FL this past March.

Kodak initially plead not guilty to the charges, but later changed his plea on Aug. 22. The federal judge denied the rapper’s request for bond, calling him a danger to the community based on his criminal record. Kodak is currently awaiting his sentencing, which is scheduled for Nov. 13. The 22-year-old rapper could face eight years in prison if found guilty.

Earlier this month, Kodak was simultaneously hit with further legal troubles. While awaiting his sentencing date in jail, the rapper was ordered to pay $91,000 for skipping several scheduled performances. Concert promoter, Nicholas Fitts, initially sued Kodak for $500,000 this past August, claiming that he missed a scheduled concert back in March of 2017, as well as a rescheduled show that was supposed to take place the following month.
