Following the release of his latest album on Friday (Oct. 25), social media has displayed mixed reactions to Kanye West’s Jesus Is King.

One positive response came from Donald Trump Jr. on Twitter.

“Kanye West is cracking the culture code,” Trump Jr. wrote on Monday (Oct. 28). “[Kanye’s] new album #JesusIsKing is the epitome of fearless creativity and ‘dangerous, unapproved’ ideas.”

“Leftists always try to silence those who are speaking truth,” he added. “They’re waging a war on our family and culture. Kanye is a pioneer.”

Although he no longer reps a MAGA hat, Kanye is apparently still receiving support from the Trumps.

Ye discussed his political beliefs briefly during a nearly two-hour interview with Zane Lowe, saying his conservative views show that God has a “sense of humor.”

“Liberals love art, right? And now I am, unquestionably, undoubtedly, the greatest human artist of all time. It’s just not even a question anymore at this point. It’s just a fact, right?” he told Lowe. “So, for the greatest artist in human existence to put a red hat on was God’s practical joke on all liberals. Like, ‘Nooooo not Kanye!’”

On the same day his album dropped, Kanye defended his political views again on Big Boy TV.

“The most racist thing a person could tell me is that I’m supposed to choose something based on my race,” he said. “We brainwashed out here, bro. Come on man, this is a free man talking. Democrats had us voting Democrat for food stamps for years, bro… Guns, in the ‘80s, taking the fathers out the home, Plan B, lowering our votes, making us abort our children. Thou shalt not kill.”

During the Big Boy interview, Ye also had some opinions about hip hop culture to share.

“The culture has you focused so much on f**kin’ somebody’s b**ch, and pulling up in a foreign, and rapping about things that could get you locked up and then saying you about prison reform,” he continued.

Kanye’s fans, and his critics, have shared mixed responses to the rapper’s album and his recent controversial remarks, mainly surrounding his anti-abortion comments.

Kanye performed cuts from his Jesus Is King album at his Sunday Service this past weekend (Oct. 27). He’ll soon take the Gospel-like performance on the road for his Jesus Is King Tour.
