Kanye West has given Jesus Is King another drop date, this time colliding with the premiere of his Jesus Is King documentary. On Sunday (Oct. 20), Ye returned from an eight-month Twitter hiatus to announce, “‘JESUS IS KING’ Oct. 25.”

He shared the highly anticipated project’s release date along with a visual of the album’s vinyl. The accompanying IMAX documentary is set to hit select theaters around the U.S. this Friday, too.

Back in August, Kim Kardashian tweeted a photo of what appeared to be the album’s tracklist, which hosted singles like “Baptized,” “Sunday” and “Sweet Jesus.” The record was initially set to be released on Sept. 27 and was later pushed back to Sept 29. Although it never arrived, Kanye held a few Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience listening sessions for the album and continued his Sunday Service series.

Kanye had previously hinted at the new release date during a listening party that took place at George Washington University in Washington D.C. on Oct. 12. Reportedly, he told the crowd that the album would drop on Oct. 25 if he “likes it by then.”

Throughout the listening sessions, Ye apparently made changes to the tracklist, too. Songs such as “New Body” weren’t played at the Chicago party, but were re-added to the list at later sessions.

Other artists have alluded to their own contributions, such as young Thug tweeting earlier this month, “Yo, @kanyewest is my verse about the devil still on Jesus??” Photos of Pusha T with Kanye have also pushed fans to believe he’ll be included on the project, and Nicki Minaj revealed her verse complications in a new interview.

Last week, Kanye released the trailer for his IMAX film, which was filmed in James Turrell’s Roden Crater. Directed by Nick Knight, the film will serve as the visual accompaniment to Kanye’s album and document his Sunday Service performances. Jesus Is King will also feature 13 songs “arranged by West in the gospel tradition along with new music from his forthcoming album,” as stated in a press release.

Both the film and the album will arrive—hopefully—this Friday.
