Cardi B celebrates her 27th birthday in a major way

Cardi B celebrated her 27th birthday on Friday (Oct. 11) and her husband Offset made it a very special one. The Migos rapper took to Instagram and shared a video montage of the couple, which was soundtracked by Alicia Keys’ “Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready).” “MY BEST FRIEND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, MY GUARDIAN ANGEL, KK’s MOM,” Offset wrote on the post’s caption. “THIS DAY IS YOUR SPECIAL DAY I LOVE YOU, HAPPY BDAY!! NOT JUST ME AND FAMILY BUT THE WORLD LOVES YOU.”

According to TMZ, Cardi had a huge dinner, which featured lobster, a seafood tower, steak, truffle macaroni and cheese, and a cake in the shape of a Hermes Birkin bag. Offset gifted Cardi with a huge diamond ring called the Titanic Diamond. She also received few Birkin bags to add to her collection.

According to Rap-Up, Cardi revealed that she celebrated her big day by getting some much needed rest. In fact, she slept until 2 p.m. “What is the best way to celebrate your birthday but to sleep?” said Cardi. “I haven’t slept longer than eight hours in like three weeks.” The Bronx-born rapper also thanked her fans for their well wishes. “I’m so overwhelmed with happiness. I’m so happy. Thank you so much for the love,” she said.

Although Cardi has taken time to celebrate her birthday, she recently announced that she has been in the studio working on her sophomore album, which she plans to title, Tiger Woods. During an Instagram Live session, Cardi explained the story behind the title for her follow-up to Invasion of Privacy. “Everything that I’m working on right now is straight to my album. Straight to my album,” she told her fans. “And I think I’m gonna name my album Tiger Woods. I think I’ma name my album Tiger Woods ‘cause remember when everybody was talking sh-t on Tiger Woods and then he f—king came and won that green jacket? That’s what I’ma name my album.”

On another note, the mother-of-one recently spoke with Vogue magazine about being a mom and raising her daughter, Kulture. “I will always keep my daughter humble. She still be going to the Bronx, she still be going to Washington Heights, she be going to my grandmother’s house. And I’m going to always tell her, ‘Listen, don’t be bragging about the things you have. Don’t be bragging about, I live in a mansion. I get every doll I want,’” she said. “Because, some of your friends, some of cousins, some of your family members, they don’t have that.”
