At midnight, Kanye West’s fans were surprised to learn that his new album, Jesus Is King, did not release to streaming services.

In the last couple of hours, fans have shared their confusion on Twitter. “I stayed up all night waiting for Kanye to drop Jesus Is King album and I’m still waiting… WTF!!” one fan wrote. Another added, “So Kanye West lied about dropping an album again? Damn..”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that West has delayed a project. Back in 2018, West was set to release his album, Yandhi, however, he eventually scrapped the entire thing. In a since-deleted tweet, ‘Ye addressed the situation. “I realize the new album I’ve been working on isn’t ready yet. I’ll announce the release date once it’s done. Thank you for understanding,” he wrote.

In other Kanye West-related news, the Chicago rapper has seen a ton of success from his Sunday Service. While speaking on his latest venture, Kim Kardashian West stated that the weekly congregation has become a source of healing for her husband.

“Kanye started this, I think, just to heal himself,” she stated. “It was a real personal thing, and it was just friends and family, and he has had an amazing evolution of being born again and being saved by Christ. People always ask, ‘Well, what are you worshiping?’ Or, ‘What is this?’ It is a Christian service, like a musical ministry. They talk about Jesus and God.”

Moving forward, West is looking to trademark Sunday Service. If approved, the father-of-four will have exclusive ownership of clothing: dresses, footwear, headwear, jackets, loungewear, scarves, shirts, socks and tops.
