Congratulations to Nick Cannon! The 38-year-old has landed his own daytime talk show.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the daytime talk show will launch next year under the production of Cannon’s company, Ncredible Entertainment. After departing from America’s Got Talent back in 2016, Cannon focused on creating something of his own.

“After leaving America’s Got Talent, I wanted to focus on developing my own talk show,” Cannon said in a statement. “I’ve always dreamed of a platform where I can speak to America and discuss pop culture, as well as the topics on everyone’s minds. When I had the opportunity to guest host at my good friend Wendy Williams’ show this year, I experienced the energy and excitement of a daytime talk show and instantly knew I found my audience.”

Although fans were sad to see Cannon leave AGT, Cannon described it as one of the best decisions of his life. The career change forced him to step outside his comfort zone. “I’ve probably made so much more money since walking away from [AGT] and doing it the way that I wanted to do it. I’m almost like, ‘Man, I should’ve stepped away earlier,’” Cannon said.

He continued, “You ever had those decisions where you’re kind of in your comfort zone and so you kind of go about the mundane process, and as soon as you step out of your comfort zone it’s all of this freedom and the universe starts to just throw so many things in your direction? That’s what happened. I’m elated with everything that I’ve been doing since I stepped away from America’s Got Talent.”

Back in June, Cannon joined Power 106’s REAL 92.3 as a new morning show host. While speaking on the venture, Cannon expressed that it’s a dream come true. “Power 106 is one of the most substantial fixtures in our hip-hop culture that has proven time and time again that they are No. 1 and not going anywhere,” Cannon said in a statement. “Los Angeles is used to star players joining star franchises. I’m just honored for the opportunity to make our community and culture proud.”
