Last week, Lizzo blasted a Postmates driver for allegedly stealing her food. Although the “Truth Hurts” artist issued an apology, the driver explains that she’s living in fear.

In a story posted to TMZ on Monday (Sept. 23), the driver, Tiffany W., explains that her life has been turned upside down. Following the incident, Tiffany states that she is afraid to leave her home. TMZ reported that although Lizzo listed the Boston hotel as her delivery destination that she didn’t list a room number, which caused the hiccup. As a result, Tiffany allegedly spoke with the hotel’s concierge and ended up leaving after 10 minutes of waiting.

“As soon as Lizzo reached out, we looked into the matter and quickly resolved the issue. We apologize to Lizzo for any inconvenience,” a Postmates spokesperson informed TMZ.

Prior to Lizzo’s apology, fans shared their mixed reactions on Twitter. “I do Postmates and there have been times where the app has f–ked up or weird circumstances have happened and I couldn’t get the food to the customer. U don’t know what this woman’s situation is. You can afford to order more food. She might not be able to afford losing her job,” one fan wrote.

Another fan added, “I get this s–t is frustrating @lizzo, but the solution shouldn’t be to use your followers to attack someone and probably get them fired. it’s really not worth all that when she’s just tryna make a living. maybe she gave the food to the wrong person, happens all the time.”

After careful thought, Lizzo apologized for her insensitivity. “I apologize for putting that girl on blast. I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door.”
