DaBaby doesn’t play when it comes to his belongings.

According to TMZ, the “Suge” rapper was performing at the Prime Festival in Lansing, Michigan on Friday night (Sept. 20) when a fan reached out for his chain, seemingly to snatch it off of his neck. In video footage that has been obtained by the outlet, DaBaby is seen throwing a punch at the fan once he touches the chain. The rapper then moves back towards the stage, perhaps to avoid any other potential chain grabbers.

DaBaby has made headlines in the past for his involvement in altercations. However, it was his security or members of his team who were responsible for throwing blows. We reported back in August that the rapper was involved in an altercation at the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines, Iowa. Apparently, during his concert on July 31, a fan hopped on stage in hopes of getting a video with DaBaby. Witnesses said that a security guard pushed the fan into the backstage area.

Video footage of the incident showed the fan getting attacked, while DaBaby appeared to do nothing. It was unclear if the man attacking the fan was a part of security or the rapper’s crew.

DaBaby was involved in another incident in July, which stemmed from a fight that broke out just before a scheduled performance. A fight transpired between DaBaby’s entourage and local Massachusetts’s rapper, Don Trag, who was set to open the show. Trag suffered injuries that sent him into a coma, while DaBaby left the premises.

The rapper chose not to fulfill his agreement with promoters and didn’t perform, which resulted in the promotion company, Nothing to Something Entertainment, filing a lawsuit against him. The promoters sued for breach of contract, explaining that DaBaby refused to work with them to reschedule to show, which was originally supposed to take place in May at Lawrence, Mass.’s Centro Night Club.

DaBaby said that he left the venue for safety reasons.
