Kanye West has added another first to his belt.

According to Forbes’ list of highest-paid hip hop acts this year, Kanye West has secured the No. 1 spot. West has come out on top with a total of $150 million pretax income. The father-of-four can attribute this win to the success of his Yeezy brand. Back in July, Forbes reported that ‘Ye’s brand is projected to make $1.5 billion in sales by the end of the year.

“I watch how hard he works as he puts his soul into every idea & product that he creates. It’s of no surprise to anyone who works w Kanye that he has been able to turn millions of $ in debt into a billion-dollar empire in only 4 years – 100% on his own terms while owning it 100%,” Kim Kardashian West said about her husband on Twitter. “He inspires me every single day and I’m so happy that he is getting the recognition and credit that he deserves. @Forbes,” Kim wrote.

Furthermore, all of the hip hop acts mentioned on Forbes’ list are doing considerably well. Hip-hop’s first billionaire sits at the No. 2 with $81 million. As for Drake, he has earned $75 million, which allows him to fall right behind the Brooklyn emcee.

As for the women in hip hop, they are holding their weight. Nicki Minaj has earned the No. 12 spot with a total of $29 million. Impressively enough, Cardi B is the youngest to make the list at 26 years old. The Bronx spitter has earned $28 million this year.

In addition to earning Forbes’ crown this year, ‘Ye is also focused on his music. Towards the end of the month, West will drop his album, Jesus Is King. While performing at a fundraising event, West confirmed the release date for his LP.
