Fashion is often used to make a statement and Drake’s fans believe they hear him loud and clear.

On Saturday (Sept. 14), Drake posted a photo of himself to Instagram. In the photograph, Drizzy is exiting a Maybach at a Lil Keed concert in Los Angeles. As for his outfit, Drake wore a sweater that reads, “Ye must be born again.” With Kanye West’s weekly Sunday Service, many believed it was a jab at the Chicago spitter.

“Drake wearing that ‘Ye must be born again’ sweatshirt is elite level trolling man. ELITE. What’s surprising, however, is how many people that don’t know that’s a real bible reference,” one user wrote.

As you might recall, Drake and ‘Ye faced tension following the release of Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode.” On the Grammy-nominated record, Drake took shots at the father-of-four. “Jesus Christ, checks over stripes/ That’s what I like, that’s what we like / Lost my respect, you not a threat / When I shoot my shot, that shit wetty like I’m Sheck,” he raps.

Earlier this year, while reflecting on the tenth anniversary of his So Far Gone project, Drake thanked West despite their drama. “@kanyewest a decade ago I rapped over your beat cause you just made the best shit and even though you stay wildin on twitter these days I will never forget what you contributed to the game and my career,” he shared on Instagram.

Moving forward, Drake isn’t allowing beef to get in the way of his money. More recently, Drake’s OVO Sound released the soundtrack for Netflix’s “Top Boy.” Following the series’ release, fans have made positive remarks.

“I think September 13th is a real U.K. heritage moment that you should all be very proud of. You all made it happen, I just really wanted it to happen. To the cast, new and old, the crew, the writers, the production team — everybody that pulled this all together. I really do appreciate it,” Drake said while at the show’s premiere event in London.
