Lil Wayne won’t be hitting the stage in St. Louis tonight (Sept. 14).
According to Billboard, the rapper is currently touring with Blink-182 and has revealed that he’ll be skipping out on his St. Louis show after getting kicked out of the Ritz-Carlton hotel. Wayne did not divulge many details in the tweet he posted, but he did reveal that the authorities were involved.
“Sorry not doing the show tonight in St Lou kuz I was just kik’d out the ritz and 12 got involve so I gotta slide. Tht y’all f w me out here. Dam slime. It’s all luv tho,” Wayne tweeted.
Lil Wayne was scheduled to perform at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis. At the time of reporting, the venue had not posted any updates regarding Wayne’s cancellation.
The New Orleans-born rapper told fans to “Katch me in Cincinnati” on Monday (Sept. 16).
On a lighter note, Lil Wayne brought a jam-packed list of performers to his hometown last Saturday (Sept. 7). He held his fifth annual “Lil Weezyana Festival” at the UNO Lakefront Arena, which allowed for the attendance to double in size compared to last year’s festival. The event featured performances from Megan Thee Stallion, Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Kash Doll, Trey Songz, Saweetie and more. He even brought out special guests Future and DJ Khaled.
Shortly after the festival was announced back in May, Cortez Bryant, partner at Maverick and COO of Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment said, “We’re so blessed to be celebrating our fifth year of Lil WeezyAna Fest and grateful to all of the fans who have been with us since the beginning. It’s only right that we made it bigger and better this year to commemorate such a milestone in Wayne’s hometown.”
According to Billboard, $.05 of every ticket sold was donated to support educational initiatives for New Orleans youth.
