With only one day left until the release of Netflix’s “Top Boy,” Drake’s OVO Sound reveals the soundtrack’s tracklist for the upcoming series.

The 17-track project features music from Giggs, Headie One, AJ Tracey, Dave and more. Following the announcement of the upcoming soundtrack, many wondered whether or not there would be new music from Drake. Sadly, the answer is no, however, Drake is still featured on the LP. “Behind Barz,” which was released from Drake, back in July of 2018, serves as the outro.

On the popular freestyle, Drake raps effortlessly over the U.K.-inspired beat. “We came around and you showed us the most/I know so much s—t that I cannot expose/I keep it inside and I laugh on my own/Got all the tea and I’m hottin’ it up/I need a shade mansion, a room’s not enough,” he spits.

During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Drake admitted that he became obsessed with “Top Boy” after binge-watching it on YouTube. “That human element drew me in,” Drake said. “I started just looking them up. Like, who are these people? Are these actors I should know? Are they just famous over there? I remember I hit Future, and I was just like, ‘This show is incredible.’”

After months of working on the series, Drake and the cast can reflect on their hard work. While at the premiere event in London, the 32-year-old rapper delivered a heartfelt speech directed at the crew.

“I think September 13th is a real U.K. heritage moment that you should all be very proud of. You all made it happen, I just really wanted it to happen. To the cast, new and old, the crew, the writers, the production team — everybody that pulled this all together. I really do appreciate it,” he said.
