Throughout the years, Lauren London has proven that she is a private person. For her eldest son’s 10th birthday, London shared a heartfelt post to Instagram yesterday (Sept. 9).
“My first born turns 10,” she began. “9-9-09 – 09-09-19 today. Kam opened my heart 10 years ago. A gift from the most high. A consistent act of service. A gift Kameron is full of soul and a constant reminder of Gods unconditional Love. My Sonshine! Happiest Birthday my Brave boy.”
Before his passing, Kameron was very fond of the late rapper, Nipsey Hussle, who was also London’s longtime partner. During his memorial service in April, the 10-year-old reflected on a dream he had where The Victory Lap spitter paid him a visit.
“I was in a paradise and I was playing in the ocean water when Ermias popped up right behind me,” Kameron said. “He said, ‘What up Killa?’ cause that’s my nickname to him.” He went on to say that he shared the dream’s meaning with his mother. “After I told her, I was thinking about it and I realized that Ermias told me what heaven was like. He told me it was paradise,” Kameron said.
This isn’t the first time that London has shared heartfelt birthday post. Last month, the ATL actress wished the slain rapper a happy birthday. Although there are some fans who are still mourning the loss of one of hip-hop’s biggest artists, London reminded everyone that Neighborhood Nip wouldn’t want others to be sad. Towards the end of her post, the 34-year-old actress vows to keep Hussle’s memory alive.
“Today we should love and give truth because that is how He lived his life,” she wrote. “His Purpose still lives on with us all. Ermias wasn’t a sad soul. He was a powerful strong magical soul. Today is the day we lift up. Long Live My other half, my beloved King, Ermias. Nip Hussle The Great! I miss you, I love you. Still here holding it UP!”
