Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, are just a few of the names that Grammy Award-winning songwriter, LaShawn Daniels, has worked with over the years. Unfortunately, the mega-producer has passed away at 41 years old. The cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Throughout his career, Daniels has helped a variety of artists. Back in 2000, the producer won his first Grammy for his work on Destiny’s Child’s iconic hit “Say My Name.” In addition to that, Daniels also worked on Toni Braxton’s “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” Tamar’s Braxton’s “Love and War,” Monica and Brandy’s “The Boy Is Mine” and so much more. Although he played a huge role behind the scenes, many were able to put a face to the name when Daniels appeared on WE TV’s Tamar & Vince and Braxton Family Values. During his time on the show, Daniels worked on Tamar’s album, Love and War.

Understandably, everyone is having a hard time coping with the loss of Daniels. Dawn Richard, who was a part of Diddy’s Dirty Money, shared that she is saddened by his death. “Yooooo I’m lost. Lashawn Daniels died?!!!! I’m stuck,” Richards wrote. “This man took my vocal ability to new levels while working in Dirty Money. One of the funniest people with the best heart. A rare talent and a beautiful soul.”

Keeping that same energy, singer Kehlani mentioned that Daniels’ legacy will never be forgotten. In her message posted to social media, “The Way” singer stated that she and Daniels were planning to hit the studio sooner than later. “We was supposed go crazy next week… Appreciate you for f—in wit me OG… your legacy will never be forgotten! this s–t crazy!” she wrote.

We here at REVOLT TV offer our condolences to Daniels’ family. Rest in power, LaShawn Daniels.
