With summer coming to an end, Megan Thee Stallion proves why hot girls took over everyone’s favorite season. Earlier today (Sept. 3), the Houston rapper released her latest visual, “Hot Girl Summer,” which features Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.

In the Munachi Osegbu-directed video, Megan throws the ultimate summer party. It’s safe to say that the party was a once in a lifetime event and almost everyone showed out. In the four-minute video, cameos are made by DaniLeigh, French Montana, La La Anthony and Minaj’s beau, Kenneth Petty. In addition to the cameos, Megan and her girls showcase their dance moves, which goes hand-in-hand with why this song makes the perfect party anthem.

Last month, we reported that Megan’s video shoot was interrupted after she didn’t receive the correct property permits. Luckily, Megan was able to secure another spot last minute to shoot her iconic video.

Following the song’s release, “Hot Girl Summer” continues to make history. The single has become the first female rap collaboration to go No. 1 on iTunes USA. Secondly, Megan also won the Power Anthem Award at this year’s VMAs. After some people pointed out that Megan won an award for a song that had no video at the time, the “Big Ole Freak” spitter clapped back at the haters. “Also for you silly mfs questioning how we won a VMA … the award was for a song … ‘POWER ANTHEM’ the PEOPLE VOTED hotties have pull,” she said.

In the past, the Queen rapper shared how much she loves Megan’s authenticity and her work ethic. After hearing the song, Minaj was able to write her featured verse with ease. “…Once I heard the song I fell in love. Wrote it b4 I went to sleep. None of that was planned. I had no idea meg was on live or that she would want to go live 2gthr,” Minaj said on Twitter.
